Hard Work Pays Off: Celebrating Our 10,000 Puck Challenge Finishers!

Jamestown Hockey — Summer is where champions are built, and our athletes just set a brand-new standard for our program! We are thrilled to congratulate all of the dedicated players who stepped up and successfully reached the finish line in our very first 10,000 Puck Challenge!

Launching this program for the first time required a tremendous commitment from our players and families. Averaging roughly 80 to 110 shots per day on driveways, basements, and shooting pads across the community, these pioneering athletes spent their off-season establishing a culture of extra work—honing wrist shots, snapshots, backhands, and release quickness. The muscle memory developed over these past months will make an immediate impact on the ice this coming season, and this group has set a high bar for all future years to come.

Building a New Tradition of Excellence

Setting the precedent in year one was no small feat. To successfully complete this inaugural challenge, our players committed to:

Relentless Consistency: Shooting 80 to 110+ pucks daily over 100+ days of summer.

Shot Diversity: Practicing wrist shots, snap shots, slap shots, and backhands to become well-rounded goal scorers.

Pioneering Discipline: Establishing daily tracking habits and personal accountability for future players to follow.

To honor this inaugural group of achievers, all players who met or exceeded the 10,000 puck mark will receive a hoodie with the 10,000 puck challenge logo.

Congratulations once again to our historic first class of finishers—and a big thank you to the parents who supported them throughout this landmark summer! We look forward to seeing this hard work turn into goals on the scoreboard and continuing this new tradition for years to come.
