Coaching Contract
Coaches are the backbone of the hockey program and Jamestown Prowl Hockey relies on quality coaches to carry out the mission. Coaches are expected to fulfill their commitment to coaching a team by attending practices, including dryland practices when requested to be present, and games. Coaches should always consider players’ safety, along with providing a fun environment, while aiding in the development of our youth hockey players. Coaches will also be required to attend scheduled meetings, at least one (1) preseason on-ice coaching clinic. All coaches, parent and non-parent, must be USA Hockey Certified prior to the start of the season. All requirements must be met in order to be placed on a roster and receive compensation. Coaches are hired by the Jamestown Hockey Board and Valley City Co-op Board, respectively.
