We’re officially accepting applications for our Player & Coach Development Director of Youth Hockey, a paid part‑time leadership position that plays a huge role in the heartbeat of our program.

Position Summary:

Prowl Hockey of Jamestown, North Dakota, is seeking a dynamic and dedicated individual for the position of player and coach development director of Youth Hockey. This is a paid leadership role responsible for the planning, implementation of development throughout our organization. The director will play a key role in shaping player and coach development across all ages and skill levels.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and implement hockey operations and development activities for all youth levels.

• Influence and guide the development of both players and coaches.

• Assist in the recruitment, selection, and oversight of team coaches.

• Support the delivery and execution of on-ice programs, including skills sessions and camps.

• Aid coaches in developing and implementing age-appropriate practice plans.

• Assist with player evaluations, team selections, and petition processes.

• Attend practices and games regularly to provide feedback and oversight.

• Optimize training opportunities during no school days, holidays, and other openings for extra development.

• Promote and communicate development models, philosophies, and expectations to coaches and parents.

• Field questions and provide support to both coaches and parents as needed.

• Attend board meetings, report progress, and respond to board inquiries (non-voting board member).

• Carry out other duties as assigned by the board or club leadership.

 Desired Qualifications:

• Strong background in hockey coaching, development, or operations.

• Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.

• Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor coaches.

• Experience developing and implementing hockey practice plans and development models.

• Ability to engage and communicate effectively with parents, coaches, and board members.

• Flexible schedule with the ability to work evenings and weekends, especially during the hockey season.

• USA Hockey coaching certification or equivalent is preferred.

Compensation and Schedule:

This is a paid, part-time position with flexible hours. Expected weekly commitment may vary based on season demands, with heavier workloads during peak months. Compensation will be based on experience and qualifications.
